Wollo University has officially signed its Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) agreement with the Ministry of Education, marking a renewed commitment to performance-based accountability and institutional excellence.
Since the introduction of the KPIs framework in Public Universities in 2017 E.C., the system has become a cornerstone for measuring institutional performance and driving continuous improvement. For the 2018 E.C. academic year, the KPI agreement was signed by three key parties: the university, its board, and the Ministry of Education, following a rigorous process of defense and negotiation of the KPIs.
The agreement was signed by his excellency Ato Mustofa Jemale, university board member and representative of the board chair; his excellency Dr. Awol Seid, President of Wollo University. Representing the Ministry of Education, his excellency Mr. Kora Tushune, State Minister for Higher Education Development signed the agreement on behalf of the MoE.
As part of the implementation process, Wollo University will cascade the agreed KPIs to its university council management teams to ensure effective execution and monitoring.
This milestone marks a significant step in Wollo University’s journey toward greater institutional autonomy and supports its strategic vision to become a leading University of Applied Sciences (UAS) in Ethiopia and beyond.
