The College of Medicine and Health Sciences (CMHS) at Wollo University was established in 2007 with an initial offering of four programs, namely Nursing, Environmental Health, Medical Laboratory Sciences, and Pharmacy. Over time, the college has experienced significant growth, expanding its programs to seven, with the addition of Public Health, Medicine, and Midwifery. Currently, College of Medicine and Health Sciences (Wollo Tertiary Care and Teaching Hospital – Tertiary Care Campus) boasts a total of 16 undergraduate and 10 postgraduate programs, which includes two medical specialty programs as of the 2017/18 academic calendar. In addition to its academic units, the college is equipped with various offices dedicated to research, community service, graduate studies, academic quality assurance, in-service training, clinical and community-based education, and skill lab development coordination. Committed to its mission of contributing to the development of the country through academic excellence, research, community service, technology transfer, and innovation, CMHS-WU continues to evolve internally to enhance its effectiveness in fulfilling its objectives.
