The main Role and responsibility of the Deputy Scientific Director is to support the Scientific Director in day to day activity of the Institute, and to ensure that the academic operations of the institute runs smoothly as per IoT Autonomy Directive and the rules and regulations of the University. The Deputy Scientific Director also ensures that the strategic plan of the institute is adapted to the strategic plan of each academic units of the institute.

In addition, he/she will execute the following delegated assignment by the Scientific Director

• Assist the Scientific Director in overseeing offices of the Directors for the undergraduate programs, School deans, the postgraduate programs, research, publication & consultancy and IIL and Technology Transfer at the level of the institute.
• Lead and modernize units that give direct support for academics, such as the Registrar and Library.
• Support the development and implementation of the Institutes informationand communication technology (ICT) strategy and services of the Institute.
• Takes other specific assignment and delegation from Scientific Director as the Scientific Director finds it necessary.
