College of Medicine and Health Sciences - Wollo University (CMHS-WU) was established in 2007 with 4 programs (Nursing, Environmental Health, Medical Laboratory Sciences, and Pharmacy). Gradually, these programs expanded to 7 programs (adding Public Health, Medicine and Midwifery). With a rapid expansion of the programs, the CMHS comprises 16 undergraduate and 10 postgraduate programs (including 2 medical specialty programs by 2017/18 academic calendar.
In addition to these academic Units, the college has research, community service and graduate study; academic quality assurance; In-Service Training; Clinical and Community Based Education; and Skill Lab Development coordination offices. CCMHS-WU has been contributing its level best for the development of the country in academic, research, community services, technology transfer, and innovation. It has also been evolving internally for the effective undertaking of its mission.
